For some reason, Apple has not yet approved the new version of the Arkansas app (with the 2009 roster and the updated RSS feed). I apologize Arkansas fans, I’m going to send off an email and see what the problem is – other teams submitted at the same time (and after) have gone through. Seems like someone at Apple is not a Razorbacks fan!

After a long wait, lots of new teams are now available with the TeamView treatment.  Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, Miss. State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Miami, Oregon, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State fans can now access their football information from their iPhone, locally, without dealing with flaky internet connections.  2009 Schedule, searchable 2008 Roster (to be updated with 2009 information before the season!), Coaching Staff, and News from a popular fan blog of the program are all features of TeamView.

Run out, grab the app, and spread the word.  If you have a team you’d like to see added to TeamView, just contact me via this site and I’ll be glad to add it to the list.

I was contacted and told that I may be infringing on the licenses of the member institutions that the TeamView apps represent.  Let me make clear that neither TeamView nor it’s developers are affiliated with the schools that the app represents in any way other than as fans of their respective football programs.

Before releasing these applications, we made a good faith attempt NOT to infringe on any rights; you’ll notice there are no team logos, and the colors are relatively generic.  However, in an effort to comply, some changes are coming to the application that I truly hope will be satisfactory to the CSC and the Institutions it represents.

I know that some may be disappointed in some of these changes, and for that I apologize.  This is a touchy area, but I respect the rights of the schools to protect their identities.  It is not my intention to mislead or misrepresent, and I believe that will be made even more clear with the updates I’ll be pushing to the App Store in the coming days.

I’ve noticed in some of the reviews that people were expecting the 2009 roster.  Right now, all the TeamView apps contain the 2008 roster, because thats the only official roster available.  We’ll make a big update closer to the season when the signees have come onboard and all the dust settles.  Make no mistake, as soon as we can get our hands on official 2009 rosters, we’ll update all the apps across the board to reflect all the changes.

I had another pretty good day of progress, and was able to knock out 3 more teams in my trek through the SEC. Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi State all got in on the TeamView action, and should be available in a week or so.
